Help: Document accessibility
Document accessibility
For CPUC system administrators. Every PDF and workbook stored as a document's file, or attached to a comment on a document or on a filing, is checked as it is stored. PDFs need tagged text (not scanned images), a title and a language; workbooks need a marked header row on each sheet with data, no merged cells, alternative text on pictures and charts, and sheet names that say what they hold.
The uploader is warned of what was found. Nothing is refused unless blocking is turned on in the settings.
How to
- Choose what to show (by default the files needing review), a type, a finding or where the files are, then Apply.
- Open a file's check to see each finding with how to fix it, and mark it reviewed with a note.
- Change whether uploads are refused on the settings page.
A tour of the page
On the page, the (?) beside the heading opens this help, and Take a tour of this page shows these steps one at a time beside the part of the page each describes. Some steps are only for parts that some people see, or that only some pages of this kind have.
-
Which files
Files needing review by default; filter by type, finding or where they were uploaded.
-
The files
Each file, what it belongs to, what the check found and whether it has been reviewed.

Help on every page
The question mark beside a page's heading opens this page's guide and its tour. All of Help, with the user guides and how to get support, is in the header.
