Help: A rule set
Validation rules
One version of a rule set, every rule in it with its ID, severity (reject or warning), field and message. A rule's ID is a content hash, the same wherever the same rule is used.
CPUC system administrators change the rules without a code change (BR-12.6). Start a new version of a published set, with the date it takes effect and the reason; in the draft, add rules, change a rule's test or wording, or take a rule out; then publish it. A published version never changes, and the version in force stays in force until the new one takes effect.
How to
- Filter by field or words, severity and table, and download the rules shown as CSV.
- A published version offers Check a file against these rules, and its rules as JSON with how each is checked and the value lists it reads, to check files in your own systems.
- Administrators: Start the draft makes a new version to change; in a draft, Add a rule, open a rule to change it, and Publish this rule set.
